Feedback about our education program

Program evaluation

Our provincial funding allows Good Night Out to work with an evaluation consultant on a yearly basis to assess the impact our education program was having on the hospitality and live music sectors, as well as collect feedback to improve our content and approach moving forward.

Good Night Out is one of a few Canadian sexual violence prevention programs for the hospitality and nightlife sectors that has data measuring the knowledge comfort and skill of workshop participants pre and post-workshop, as well as tracking sustained changes in the months that follow.

Testimonials

“The workshop is excellent and grounded in very good stats. Alarming, information and empowering. The engagement throughout is excellent. For me, it isn’t about group discussion rather a moment to reflect on the question or the material being discussed to measure my knowledge or personal experience and apply new information. That said, the discussion throughout is excellent and allows learning between participants. You are doing very important, educational work that should be supported as an extension of public health services so it is incorporated into Education in all levels, and Business regardless of sector.”

“Thank you for the answers to the questions it was helpful . i was stuck now i have tools, plus some reassurance that I am helping.”

“We learned so much from your team, and are so incredibly grateful for your time spent educating us and answering our questions. Following the workshop, not only do we feel much more equipped to operate with trauma, ethical consent, and a therapeutic relationship in mind, but we truly feel by understanding some of these concepts that we can do our part in changing the world. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

“The workshop was engaging, informative, and easy to understand. I enjoyed the polls and questions we had to answer to keep us engaged. I found the images, text, and concepts very easy to understand. I often have difficulty staying attentive and can skim a lot while reading text but the information was concise. Thank you for what you do!!”
